Ards and North Down Labour Market Partnership free Industry- related training.

The aim of Ards and North Down Labour Market Partnership is to help improve employability outcomes and labour market conditions locally. The Labour Market Partnership is offering free training for employees in the Ards and North Down Borough Council area to support industry-related training. Due to demand, a third date has been added.

Level 3 First Aid Emergency at work:

The L3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work course is ideal for low risk businesses. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations NI (1982) require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

• Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
• Assessing an incident
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR on an adult casualty
• AED
• Recovery position
• Choking
• Seizures
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Burns and scalds

Due to the nature of this course, it is best suited to those who are ok with the sight of blood.

**Please note, delegates are required to bring photo ID to attend the course as this is a stipulation from the awarding organisation.

Places are limited so early booking is recommended.

It is entirely at the Council’s discretion to accept registrations. Registrations from companies outside the Borough may be considered in exceptional circumstances and at the entire discretion of the council.
