Online session Friday 12 September at 11am on the Employer Led Upskilling Programme (Training grants for employers)

Are you and employer in the Ards and North Down Borough Council area?

This is an opportunity to hear about the Labour Market Partnership (LMP) and the work that the partnership is doing. You will hear specifically about the Employer Led Upskilling Programme and how you can apply for grants up to £500 per employee for up to a maximum of 4 employees for industry specific training. The small grant scheme is available for businesses that employ one or more employee(s) excluding the business owner with the aim of improving skills and employment opportunities.

You are invited to attend an online Information Session which will be held on Friday 12 September from 11:00 - 11:30 to outline the grant scheme, how it can benefit your business and answer any queries.

Why should you take part?

• Obtain training for your staff/employees at no cost or at a lower cost* to your business.
• Offer training opportunities to your staff and employees to upskill and enhance their employability.
• Provide Industry Specific Training at a time and date that suits your business.
• Support the growth of your business by investing in your staff.
• Provide training for your staff to progress in their career and therefore create entry level positions within your organisation.

*Subject to the terms and conditions of this initiative i.e. £500 per employee for a maximum of 4 employees per business.

Important Dates

Applications open on Monday 8 September 2025 at 9am. Deadline for submission of Applications is 12 noon on Friday 17 October 2025. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.All training initiatives and grant claim forms must be completed by Friday 27 February 2026. Ards and North Down Labour Market Partnership is funded by the Department for Communities (DfC).
