Developing An Entrepreneurial Mindset To Get Started In Business

Starting a business is not just about ideas, money or skills. It begins with mindset.

About the event

This session is designed for people who are curious about self-employment but feel unsure, stuck or overwhelmed by where to begin.

It explores what an entrepreneurial mindset really means in everyday terms, not buzzwords or pressure, and how it applies to people who are returning to work, managing health or caring responsibilities, or simply questioning their next step.

Through practical discussion and real examples, participants will learn how to build confidence, challenge self-doubt, reframe fear of failure and recognise the strengths they already have.

This is a supportive, no-judgement session that helps you see self-employment as a realistic option and decide what your next small step could be.

This workshop is part of a series of business support sessions aimed at people who are economically inactive, meaning they are not currently in work and not actively looking for a job.

This may include people who are long term sick or disabled, carers, parents without access to childcare, students who are not working, early retirees, or those facing barriers such as confidence, transport, or digital access.

Some participants may receive benefits, others may not, but all are considered outside the active labour market.

Don’t worry if you don’t fit into the categories above, you’re still welcome to join us!

This workshop is brought to you as part of Go Succeed NI. Go Succeed represents a significant investment in local entrepreneurs and businesses, funded by the UK Government.
