NI Business Rates Reduction

The NI Executive's budget 2020-21 was published on 31 March 2020. It included several rates measures including a rates reduction for businesses.

Business Rates Reductions

The Regional Rate has been adjusted downward to offset the change in the total rateable value due to Reval2020.

A further 12.5 per cent cut has now been made in the Budget which effectively equates to an 18 per cent reduction on the 2019-20 figure.

This is intended to help business ratepayers as well as the rates holiday for businesses. There will be a 3 month rate holiday for business owners which will be shown as a 25% discount on annual rate bills.
