Hospitality, Accommodation and Visitor attraction Questionnaire

Tourism Northern Ireland are keen to hear about your experience of The 148th Open Championship.

The Open Championship was delivered at the Royal Portrush Golf Club between the 14th and 21st July 2019. The event attracted 237,750 spectators over the period, making it the largest ever Open to be held outside St Andrews and the second largest Open ever to be held. The event generated more than £100 million of combined economic benefit for Northern Ireland.

Tourism Northern Ireland is keen to hear about your experience of The Open in order to better understand the overall legacy of the event and how we can continue to work with you in the future around the delivery of major events.

This questionnaire aims to obtain your views on a number of areas including:

  • Your business’ performance before, during and after The Open Championship;
  • The usefulness of the preparatory support that was provided by Tourism Northern Ireland to prepare businesses to maximise the commercial potential resulting from The Open; and
  • The steps your business took to maximise its commercial potential during The Open.

This survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and is conducted in utmost confidence, which guarantees confidentiality and your anonymity. Under no circumstances will you be identified or associated with any particular survey responses in the subsequent report. Only aggregated data reflecting the overall insight will be reported on. Tourism Northern Ireland handles all data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The closing date for the questionnaire to be completed is Monday 20th January.
