Council Launches the 2020 ‘Grow’ Economic Development Conference

Ards and North Down Borough Council has launched this year’s ‘Grow’ Economic Development Conference, a free-to-attend event that can help local businesses.

The ‘Grow’ Economic Development Conference takes place on 11 February from 8.30am to 3.30pm

Hosted at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel on Tuesday 11 February and compered by renowned journalist and broadcaster, Wendy Austin, the conference will give delegates an opportunity to hear essential advice from three keynote speakers who each represent successful recognised brands - Innocent Drinks, Leon (naturally fast food) and Momentum Group.

The speakers will share their experiences and success stories plus there will be opportunities to speak to industry experts and discuss issues that are specific to local business through smaller, more personalised, interactive breakout sessions.

The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Bill Keery, said:

“We’re really looking forward to building on the success of our previous economic development conferences. This year's conference will give local business owners and employees the chance to make the most of their business and improve their profitability.”

“Our keynote speakers have a huge amount of experience with some innovative business models so this is a great opportunity to tap into their knowledge. They will highlight the importance of integrating specific strategies, such as sustainability and innovation, into the core of their business models, which will ultimately help businesses to reduce costs and create new opportunities.”

The ‘Grow’ Economic Development Conference takes place on 11 February from 8.30am to 3.30pm. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance.
