A three part series of events to support Food and Drink businesses during these challenging times.

This programme has been designed for producers that range from small recent start-ups to established medium-sized enterprises who are looking to find new routes to consumers in these difficult times. The programme will also be suitable for those hospitality businesses who have already diversified their food and drink services during the pandemic to include retail and 'to order' services.

The programme will provide food producers with an update on key changes and developments in the marketplace.

The webinar series is built around three sessions that include opportunities resulting from Brexit and the pandemic, the development of your brand, as well as successful product development with innovation in packaging. The online sessions will also include the opportunities for one-to-one mentoring sessions for those who sign-up early.

Thurs 25th Feb 1.00pm - 3.00pm - The Impact & Repercussions of Brexit for Food Producers

Brexit has created a headache for many businesses, but are there opportunities for local producers? The session will explore the potential challenges that producers are facing as a result of Brexit, especially in relation to their supply chains but it will also examine potential new export opportunities that may have arisen for local producers. The session will include guest speakers from InterTradeIreland to highlight the range of fully funded support mechanisms they offer producers to address Brexit challenges and take advantage of opportunities.

Thurs 11th March 10.00am - 12.00 noon - Telling Your Story - The Importance of Your Brand

Increasing awareness of your brand is key to growing your business and boosting credibility of your business. This workshop will help you to effectively tell the story of your business to assist you to grow your sales. The session will give practical advice and guidance on how to identify and structure your story, highlight the range of marketing channels you can use to achieve this and how you can tailor your story to suit each of them.

Thurs 25th March 10.00am - 12.00 noon - Innovation in Product Development & Packaging

As a small business, product development and innovation can seem daunting. This workshop will demystify the process and aims to help you understand the role innovation plays in moving forward with your product range to help you grow and develop your business. We will highlight how your business can access funding and support to inject innovation into your operations and enable you to take your business to the next level.

As a follow up to the webinars, a one-to-one mentoring session with the trainer is offered, on a first come first served basis. You will be contacted with available 1-1 slots upon registration for the webinar.

It is entirely at the Council’s discretion to accept registrations. Registrations from companies outside the Borough may be considered in exceptional circumstances also at the entire discretion of the council.
